Research In Motion is done. They\u2019ll be bought in the next year or so, their products will roll into whoever buys them \u2013 Microsoft, most probably \u2013 and they\u2019ll go the way of Nokia, Danger, and countless other mobile platforms. They\u2019ll exist independently for a while and then be subsumed. It\u2019s over.<\/p>\n

RIM\uff08\u9ed1\u8393\u5236\u9020\u5546\uff09\u5c31\u8981\u5b8c\u86cb\u4e86\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u5c06\u5728\u4e00\u5e74\u5de6\u53f3\u88ab\u6536\u8d2d\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u4ea7\u54c1\u5c06\u843d\u5165\u6536\u8d2d\u8005\u624b\u4e2d-\u6700\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u662f\u5fae\u8f6f-\u4ed6\u4eec\u5c06\u6b65\u5165\u8bfa\u57fa\u4e9a\uff0cDanger\u7b49\u65e0\u6570\u5176\u4ed6\u624b\u673a\u5e73\u53f0\u7684\u8001\u8def\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u5c06\u72ec\u7acb\u5b58\u5728\u4e00\u6bb5\u65f6\u95f4\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u88ab\u878d\u5408\u3002\u4e00\u5207\u90fd\u5c06\u7ed3\u675f\u4e86\u3002<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s why.<\/h3>\n

There is no money in \u201cbusiness\u201d phones.<\/strong> Blackberries aren\u2019t status symbols. They\u2019re the real-world equivalent of the thick, heavy IT-department-assigned business laptop. They\u2019re staid, boring, and unwanted but people are used to them and, for email, they are quite capable. But that\u2019s about it.<\/p>\n

\u8fd9\u662f\u539f\u56e0\uff1a<\/h3>\n

\u5546\u52a1\u624b\u673a\u4e2d\u5df2\u6ca1\u6709\u94b1\u9014\u3002<\/strong>\u9ed1\u8393\u4e0d\u518d\u662f\u5730\u4f4d\u7684\u8c61\u5f81\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e0e\u73b0\u5b9e\u751f\u6d3b\u4e2d\u539a\u91cd\u7684IT\u90e8\u95e8\u5206\u914d\u7684\u5546\u52a1\u7b14\u8bb0\u672c\u5dee\u4e0d\u591a\u3002\u4ed6\u4eec\u7a33\u91cd\uff0c\u65e0\u804a\uff0c\u6ca1\u6709\u5438\u5f15\u529b\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u4eba\u4eec\u5df2\u7ecf\u4e60\u60ef\u7528\u4ed6\u4eec\u5904\u7406\u90ae\u4ef6\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u76f8\u5f53\u4fbf\u643a\u3002\u4f46\u5c31\u662f\u56e0\u4e3a\u8fd9\u4e2a\u3002<\/p>\n

But these phones are increasingly getting a drubbing from IT departments who are starting to support more popular devices including, obviously, iOS and Android phones. No one ever got fired for installing a BES, but you can be sure someone will get fired for not supporting WebDAV standards over the next few years.<\/p>\n

\u4f46\u662f\u8fd9\u4e9b\u624b\u673a\u8d8a\u6765\u8d8a\u53d7\u5230\u90a3\u4e9b\u5f00\u59cb\u652f\u6301\u66f4\u591a\u53d7\u6b22\u8fce\u8bbe\u5907\uff08\u5f88\u660e\u663e\u5305\u62eciOS\u548cAndroid\u624b\u673a\uff09IT\u90e8\u95e8\u7684\u7684\u75db\u51fb\u3002\u4ece\u6765\u6ca1\u6709\u4eba\u56e0\u4e3a\u5b89\u88c5\u4e86BES\u800c\u88ab\u89e3\u96c7\uff0c\u4f46\u53ef\u4ee5\u80af\u5b9a\u6709\u4eba\u4f1a\u56e0\u4e3a\u5728\u672a\u6765\u51e0\u5e74\u4e0d\u652f\u6301WebDAV\u6807\u51c6\u800c\u88ab\u6dd8\u6c70\u3002<\/p>\n

You can make lots of money selling hardware to fleet buyers, to be sure. But when those fleet buyers are saving money buy refusing to pay for devices, where do you think consumers are going to go? Back to the same hardware they\u2019ve been saddled with for years?<\/p>\n

\u53ef\u4ee5\u80af\u5b9a\u7684\u662f\uff0c\u4f60\u53ef\u4ee5\u901a\u8fc7\u5411\u6392\u961f\u987e\u5ba2\u5356\u786c\u4ef6\u800c\u8d5a\u5f88\u591a\u94b1\u3002\u4f46\u5f53\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8d2d\u4e70\u8005\u6b63\u5728\u6512\u94b1\u66f4\u6362\u8bbe\u5907\u65f6\uff0c\u4f60\u8ba4\u4e3a\u8fd9\u4e9b\u6d88\u8d39\u8005\u4f1a\u6295\u5954\u54ea\u91cc\uff1f\u4f1a\u91cd\u65b0\u9009\u62e9\u4ed6\u4eec\u4f7f\u7528\u4e86\u597d\u591a\u5e74\u7684\u4ea7\u54c1\uff1f<\/p>\n

Their audience has already moved on. <\/strong>I remember a few years ago I was invited onto MTV (and never invited back) to talk about the \u201ctop smartphones.\u201d I think it was 2007. These included a Windows Mobile device, a new Sidekick, and, inexplicably, a Blackberry Curve. The results of a viewer survey had the Sidekick beat out the other devices quite handily but what I couldn\u2019t understand was how the Curve, for all its benefits, could have made it onto the list in the first place. The Sidekick was a lifestyle device and even the WinMo-powered Dash by HTC could be seen as a lifestyle device. But the Curve? Never.<\/p>\n

\u4ed6\u4eec\u7684\u7c89\u4e1d\u5df2\u7ecf\u53db\u79bb\u3002<\/strong>\u6211\u8bb0\u5f97\u51e0\u5e74\u524d\u53d7\u9080\u53bbMTV\uff08\u518d\u4e5f\u6ca1\u6709\u7b2c\u4e8c\u6b21\u53d7\u9080\uff09\u8ba8\u8bba\u5173\u4e8e\u201c\u6700\u7ed9\u529b\u667a\u80fd\u624b\u673a\u201d\u3002\u6211\u8bb0\u5f97\u662f\u57282007\u5e74\u3002\u5176\u4e2d\u5305\u62ecWindows Mobile\u8bbe\u5907\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u65b0\u7684Sidekick\uff0c\u4ee4\u4eba\u8d39\u89e3\u7684\u662f\u8fd8\u6709\u4e00\u53f0\u9ed1\u8393Curve\u3002\u89c2\u4f17\u8c03\u67e5\u7ed3\u679c\u662fSidekick\u8f7b\u677e\u7684\u51fb\u8d25\u4e86\u5176\u4ed6\u8bbe\u5907\uff0c\u4f46\u6211\u4e0d\u80fd\u7406\u89e3\u7684\u662f\u5c31\u7b97\u8003\u8651\u5230\u5b83\u6240\u6709\u7684\u4f18\u70b9\uff0cCurve\u600e\u4e48\u80fd\u51fa\u73b0\u5728\u8fd9\u4e2a\u5217\u8868\u7684\u7b2c\u4e00\u4f4d\u7684\u5462\uff1fSidekick\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\uff0c\u751a\u81f3HTC\u7684WM\u7cfb\u7edf\u7684Dasb\u4e5f\u53ef\u4ee5\u770b\u4f5c\u662f\u4e00\u79cd\u6539\u53d8\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\u7684\u8bbe\u5907\u3002\u4f46\u662f\u9ed1\u8393Curve\u5462\uff1f\u4ece\u6765\u4e0d\u662f\u3002<\/p>\n

RIM has an audience, but that audience is shrinking. Arguably they had a good run, but there are plenty of other devices from other manufacturers \u2013 Microsoft included \u2013 that have much more cachet in terms of general appeal. Even BBM no longer sounds as enticing as it once did, especially in an era of Facetime, Qik, and Hipchat.<\/p>\n

RIM\u6709\u7c89\u4e1d\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u7c89\u4e1d\u6570\u5374\u5728\u840e\u7f29\u3002\u53ef\u4ee5\u8bf4\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u8fd0\u884c\u5f88\u597d\uff0c\u4f46\u4e5f\u6709\u5f88\u591a\u5176\u4ed6\u5236\u9020\u5546\u7684\u7684\u673a\u578b\uff08\u4e5f\u5305\u62ec\u5fae\u8f6f\uff09\uff0c\u5b83\u4eec\u4e5f\u76f8\u5f53\u6709\u5438\u5f15\u529b\u3002\u751a\u81f3BBM\u542c\u8d77\u6765\u90fd\u4e0d\u518d\u90a3\u4e48\u8bf1\u4eba\uff0c\u7279\u522b\u5728Facetime, Qik, and Hipchat\u7684\u65f6\u4ee3\u3002<\/p>\n

\u8bd1\u8005\u6ce8<\/strong>\uff1a\u8fd1\u6765 RIM \u7684\u8d1f\u9762\u6d88\u606f\u7f20\u8eab\uff0c\u9ad8\u5b98\u79bb\u804c\u3001\u80a1\u7968\u8dcc\u4e2a\u4e0d\u505c\u3001\u4e1a\u754c\u4e0d\u770b\u597d\u3001\u6279\u8bc4\u58f0\u97f3\u4e0d\u65ad\u2026\u2026\u4f46\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u679aBBer\uff0c\u6211\u4f9d\u7136\u70ed\u7231\u7740\u9ed1\u8393\u3002\u4f01\u4e1a\u548c\u4eba\u751f\u4e00\u6837\u4e0d\u53ef\u80fd\u4e00\u8def\u5766\u9014\uff0c\u82f9\u679c\u4e0d\u4e5f\u662f\u6d85\u78d0\u91cd\u751f\u540e\u4e00\u8def\u9ad8\u6b4c\u5417\uff1f\u4f46\u613fRIM\u53ca\u65f6\u8c03\u6574\uff0c\u65e9\u65e5\u8d70\u51fa\u9634\u973e\uff0c\u8bbe\u8ba1\u51fa\u66f4\u591a\u6d88\u8d39\u8005\u559c\u7231\u7684\u8bbe\u5907\u3002\n<\/p>\n
